Frequently asked

The questions we get most.

Does my pool fence need to comply with a particular standard?
+
Yes. In Queensland all pool barriers must comply with AS 1926.1 and the Queensland Pool Safety Standard. We build to that standard as a matter of course — glass, aluminium, gates, latches and gap clearances — and hand the job over inspection-ready.
Do I need council approval to build a fence?
+
For most standard residential fences up to 2m on the Sunshine Coast, no council approval is required. Higher fences, retaining walls over 1m, or fences in flood / coastal-overlay zones may need approval. We'll flag it during the quote.
How does cost-sharing with a neighbour work?
+
Under the Queensland Neighbourhood Disputes (Dividing Fences and Trees) Act 2011, neighbours usually share the cost of a sufficient dividing fence equally. We can provide a written quote you can use to formally notify your neighbour.
How long does a job take?
+
A standard suburban back-yard run (around 20–30m) is usually one to two days on site once materials arrive. Pool fencing is often a single day. Larger acreage runs depend on terrain and access — we'll give you a realistic window in the quote.
What's the warranty on materials and workmanship?
+
All workmanship is guaranteed. Materials carry their manufacturer warranty — Colorbond, glass, hardware all have specific terms which we'll confirm in writing on the quote.
Do you do small repairs?
+
Yes. Storm damage, rotten posts, a wonky gate — we'll come out and have a look. If a repair won't last, we'll say so honestly.
Are you insured?
+
Yes — fully insured for public liability and workplace cover. We'll provide a certificate of currency on request.
